How to install it?
- Cut an 85mm (3 3/8") hole in the panel and allow a clearance of 55mm (2 3/16”) behind the panel to fit the gauge.
- Put the gauge in the hole and screw down.
How to adjust backlight?
- Power on the power supply first.
- Short press the button to change the backlight color:
backlight changed in sequence: Red (Default)->Green->Blue->White->Yellow->Cyan-->Purple->(Automatic).
- Automatic: Automatically switch the backlight color every 1 minute. Cycle switch according to the above sequence.
Why Don't get RPM signal?
Tachometer sometimes cannot get signal by ignition system. So, I suggest Tacho sensor signal. It is more stable.

How to be setting Tach RPM Ratio ?
1. Turn on the power supply first.
2. Press and hold the mode button for 3 seconds to enter the setting speed ratio mode. then adjust speed ratio from 1.0-360 according to your request.
3. After setting, Data is automatically saved.
4. Please note: If your sensor is installed on the flying wheel panel, the RPM ratio is equal to the number of gears of the engine; If the speed signal takes from W-Terminal, the RPM ratio is equal to the half of the number of poles.
5. Normally, When the engine at idle state, tachometer shows 600-800rpm that means speed ratio is correct. If not, you can turn down or turn up speed ratio to check RPM difference.

Installed in a 1984 Corvette per instructions. Set ratio at 4 per instructions. Idle speed seemed correct at 8-900 but above 2000 rpm tach would bounce from 2000 to 4000 + then to 3000. I contacted the company and it was suggested I wire back in the factory tach filter. . This stopped the bounce but tach wouldn't read past 2000 rpm. Company then suggested I wire in a 1UF/50v ceramic capacitor in the black wire. When this was done ground didn't work and had no power to the tach. So I tried putting it in the signal (blue wire) now idle speed was over 2000 rpm and when revved the tach went to 7000 and needle would not return to idle. I recommend DO NOT BUY. I have asked Eling for either a replacement unit or a full refund. I doubt either will happen. Been doing this type of work over 50 years and have never had this kind of problem with a tach.
