I ordered and received this in early spring and it actually arrived as we were preparing for a late snow storm so, so the box sat in my garage for a couple weeks before I got around to it. Assembly is easy enough, but don't bother with the included wrenches. Have a box end wrench, pliers or better yet a socket set handy. The included wrenches kept slipping in between the bolt or nut and the tool itself until I was able tovget them tightened enough using pliers. The handle is a twist together, but that's not specifically a good thing, more on that in a moment.Onto actually trying to use it. I had a few spots to do some spot weed removal, and it does okay, but what Ibwas trying to remove had thicker roots and that made it difficult for this tool. Trying to use in s swinging motion like a scythe meant the handle started to loosen some. Trying a sawing motion wasn't much better. The blade is a little spring-like so digging it wasn't great either. So as a weed removal tool, forn my current needs, it wasn't the best thing I own for the task, probably just barely in top 5, if even that high. It might be a good weeding tool between garden rows in well cultivated, loose soil. It might also be suited to one of the other listed uses to gather vegetables, the picture specifically shows root crops, again, in loose soil this might be a good use. But so far for early spring prep work it's just going into a corner of the shed. Maybe a solid handle would make a difference, I might try to find a wood handle to try.One use that I did really think about this for a making furrows in the garden to plant potatoes or corn. We'll see.

Very nice weeding tool. Once sharpened, this tool makes short work of weeding chores. The narrow end of the blade is great for spot weeding close to garden plants. The sides of the blade make weeding bigger areas easier since one can use a sweeping motion instead of the chopping motion of a typical hoe. The handle can be made longer or shorter depending on your need, The only complaint is a sharp spine of metal near one of the joints of the handle. I found it the hard way. It was quickly removedn

The Lilyvane Garden Hoe Tool is strong and versatile. You can hoe rows, dig weeds, or edge, making this available for many uses. The end is somewhat sharp and can cut like a swing blade for small areas. You can adjust the size of the handle by removing a section or 2, if desired. The blade is somewhat narrow and is a bit tapered. This allows for getting into tight spots. All in all, it's strong, but not too heavy and rinses clean easily. The price is spot on for this type of tool and I'm looking forward to years of use.

......from any other garden hoe I have ever tried or owned. I think it's going to take a little getting used to, as the shape makes using it "interesting". I think when I figure out exactly where and how I want to use it, it may work out okay. Hence why I gave it 4 stars. But for now I'm a creature of habit and am used to using what my mother always called "the old fashioned heart shaped hoe".And I myself am old fashioned enough to appreciate an "all in one piece" garden hoe. Not something I have to assemble and having it end up possibly falling part when I use it.I wasn't very fond of the way the head of this hoe attaches, as the two little wrenches they include for you to attach the head with one large screw and nut are basically worthless. Trying to tighten that one screw was much harder than it should have been. The box this hoe came in was large enough they could have pre-attached the head before shipping it out. That would have made a lot more sense, and not only saved some frustration but would have won me over just a little bit. I'm still not sure if it's tight enough, but I suppose time will tell. The blade itself seems to be decently strong which is the only thing I really can appreciate. However, unless I end up falling in love with this "new" type (shape/style) of hoe I don't think it'll get a whole lot of use. For the money I'd rather invest in another heart shaped hoe when needed.

I really wanted to fall in love with this tool. The shape and sharp edges are unique and I hoped it would help me clear grass growing inside my metal garden edges. First thing - the handle is REALLY long. That’s good for someone tall. It can’t go through the door straight up. I call myself the Grim Reaper when carrying it. However, the pieces screw together nicely and you can shorten it easily by leaving one piece out. You could even just put one piece of handle on and use it for a hand tool. The problem with the pieces screwing together though is that if the ground is hard, when you whack the ground, the handle pieces untwist and the curve of the tool is now going the wrong direction so it doesn’t dig into the ground. The other thing is that the metal edge is quite flexible and prefers to bend away from the hard ground rather than dig in. The sideways swipe is good for raking out from under the edges of boulders (I have several boulder walls), so that’s good. It’s not a bad tool, just underwhelming.

This garden tool is very sturdy and works great for cultivating and weeding in small spaces. All the screw-in joints are deep and strong and held up well under heavy use. The head is attached using a bolt and a deep slot for the head to fit onto the pole so it's not going to fly off. It was easy to put the pole together, but took just a little more time and coordination to get the head on due to the bolt.
