The Genie 36521R radio receiver board has a plug-in connector at the top corner and even though it is smaller than the older boards, it does fit easily just as the replacement board for the older models. Stores up to 7 remotes and one keypad in its memory. New in box and includes installation instructions.

My Genie garage door opener experienced a sudden loss of range. My operating distance from the garage dropped from about 150 ft to just 20 ft. Genie's tech support suggested that the original receiver board had gone bad and the new replacement board, 36521R, was needed. I installed the board when it arrived and now I had to stand or park directly in front of the garage door, at a range of about 2 feet and the door would open about half the time. I removed this one and reinstalled the old board. My range went back to 20 ft. The solution turned out to be a Genie GIRUD-1T, an add-on device that now gives me more than twice my original range.

Worked exactly like they said one screw and one plug to install took only a few minutes then programmed my remote no problem

Have a Genie Intellicode IS-550 that I installed back in late 96. The only repair to date was swapping out the $14 carriage. Last week none of the original remotes or keypad would work. After doing some common sense tests I ruled out everything, but this board. Originally I googled the part. Beware! There are door companies out there trying to get $100+. The board went in nicely, programmed with the remotes and keypad; no problems. New Genie screw drive opener runs around $200. Repair took me 10 minutes. 4 outside screws and one retaining screw for the board. Note the location of the green wire to put plug back on correctly. For my unit it is on top. It’s great when you can fix something with little effort and it works the first time.

Worked great! My learn button was broke on my Genie Intellicode 700H and I couldn't reprogram my keypad. The keypad lost it's code due to a storm I think. I got locked out 3 times forgetting my house keys and said I need to fix this, lol. Garage door company quoted me around 150 bucks to fix. I looked at it and it was only 1 screw and 1 connection to replace so I bought this and did it myself in minutes. You'll have to reprogram your remotes and car button after you replace the receiver.

Our Stealth intellicode garage door failed to open from a distance of more than 4 feet. Not very useful! Took cover off side of power head with antenna hanging out and noticed board with antenna attached had some evidence of over heated components. Ask around and found that many repair folks viewed this board a major fail point. I ordered and received it in 2 days. Took just moments to install and voila the remote works as it use to from a far greater distance (across the street). Saved many bucks doing it myself and easy peasy to do.!! Don't forget to unplug the power before attempting to work on electrical parts!!!

I have a Genie model G4050CL opener that works perfectly, but has the old dip switch style 25648R receiver board.I installed the 36521R board and it worked perfectly. I was able to pair it with a C3T-R keyfob remote, a GK-R keypad, and two vehicles with Homelink.This board is cheaper than the 36359R add on kit and provides a cleaner solution, though you will need to open the unit.It is held in place with the same single screw that held the old board. The three wire cable from the control board must be flipped over before you plug it in.
