I ordered three of these even though I only needed two for the "R8 Fly Cutter" I made in school. I'm glad I ordered three, because the placement of the carbide on the steel was very inconsistent. I didn't do any measure of the carbide portion, but they were all visually identical. The difference was in their placement upon the steel shank. These are a far cry from indexable inserts, but they cost less so that's okay. If you need two that are alike, either be prepared to grind them to match, or buy several and pick the best match. They do cut well, however. My best two of three match gave me a 2.2" diameter cutter that left a really nice milling finish on aluminum (.100 depth of cut) or mild steel (.050).
