I have three kids who play hockey and we go through a lot of skate laces. The howie ones are the only ones we will use.. when I buy them in the store or on amazon. The waxed version has just the right amount of wax where you can get them untied, but they also hold when trying to tighten them down for the hockey boot.Love these!
