The only change id make would be the metric is displayed in Meters scale so mm and cm are all in on scale, not a big deal but a lil more thought involved

I use a tape measure daily, and often need to use a laser measure as well. Although I find that no tape measure is better than the Fat Max for what I do, I'm willing to sacrifice a little quality on the tape side to integrate the laser (allows for faster measuring without tool switching). Also makes for a lighter load in my bag. Most that I've had experience with have been on the cheaper side, so I figured I would try Huepar being a recognizable brand. I liked how it fell in the hand and the tape had a reasonable standout. Also, a plus that it charges on USB C like most of my gear. Unfortunately despite it being accurate and pretty user friendly stopped working faster than a cheaper model from another manufacturer did. Would not recommend if you plan to use it on a daily basis, but if you baby it, you would probably be fine.

The laser and the digital display don't track great both are off a little per the tape itself. Using the tape alone without the inaccurate digital side is not user friendly. Basically at this point if I needed to guestimate something it's great. I would never make a cut based on this. I bought this maybe 2 months ago and now the brake doesn't hold the tape out anymore. Used it 4 times total, literally 4 times not like 4 days of use.

This is great for measuring distances longer than the lengths most analog tape measures top out at. There are extremely long tape measures available but this one has the advantage of being lighter and smaller and does not require anchoring the end or having someone hold it. I let it charge overnight before the first use. The laser creates a bright and precise pinpoint on the surface you are referencing. It only takes a couple of seconds for the measurement to appear on the display and it is accurate to my manual measurements. It can record up to 50 measurements which is handy if you don't have something to write with. I have not used some of the advanced features like measuring triangles or perimeters but I like the fact that those options are available if I ever find a need for them. The user's manual contains instructions in 7 languages (EN, DE, FR, IT, ES, RU, PL) and I found the English instructions to be comprehensive and easy to follow. The construction feels solid and the buttons have a nice tactile response, but the markings on them can be difficult to see in dim light because the icons are molded into them rather than stamped with contrasting ink. Aside from that, I like everything else about this tape measure.

Don't get me wrong here, this is a great measuring tool. It appears to be of high quality, well made, and very diverse with measurements, but for the price you had better want to use all its functions (and there are a lot). In my case I know I will use it for straight line measurements and perhaps square ft (but that is a pretty easy calculation anyway).You do (or should) have to read the instruction manual and it is a full manual, but it is tiny and some of the print is really tiny (like microscopic). I needed a magnifying glass. The black buttons on the side that show display functions are very hard to read. So at first you will want a flashlight to see the display on those buttons until you get them memorized and keep the manual handy as you will want to refer to it at first. The charging cord is pretty short and could be about 12 inches longer. It also can be awkward to use when you put it up against the wall and press the activate laser button. At least I found it to be.This is a first rate instrument, just has several quirks that I had difficulty with. You may not.4 stars
