I was skeptical to order this as some of the reviews really had a hard time with the batteries always dying, but I figured I would give it a shot. What an amazing device. I put this in my pool right before Memorial Day and it will be coming out this weekend, and the battery has not faltered once as has not needed to be changed. My pool is about 100 feet away from the receiver and agin no connectivity issues whatsoever. It was a great buy and I highly recommend it. It was nice to see the temp of the pool from inside the house so it helped decide if we wanted to go into the pool that day without ever leaving our kitchen.

Possibly the best impulse purchase I’ve ever made. This works great. It connected immediately and we can see the pool temperature at any time from our kitchen. It’s a decent distance away but always accurate. We can decide if the pool is warm enough to go in before walking outside. It has only lost the connection once and that was when I found it had gotten sucked into the skimmer. Once out it was immediately fine again. I was also surprised that the batteries didn’t die the whole season. The same ones lasted all summer. I couldn’t recommend more for easy convenience for a very reasonable price.

We used this wireless pool thermometer(tethered to the ladder in the above pic) in our chlorinated above ground pool that is located almost 300 ft from our house. we kept the remote receiver at the house and could always see the temp of the pool - we kept it out on the covered deck and could also see the outside temp. Great info for pool owners. unfortunately after about a year(half of last summer and most of this summer) it quit working. I contacted the folks at inkbird and they gathered a little info and replaced it right away. New one works great. on a separate note i also own an inkbird digital temperature controller for my greenhouse and it works great(going on 4 years old). great product and reputable company...

I purchased an Inkbird Wireless Pool Thermometer on October 13, 2023. It's a great thermometer--it floats in the pool and provides a temperature readout on the device and on the separate receiving monitor. Either Celsius or Fahrenheit can be used. But something went wrong and it stopped working. I contacted the company regarding the instrument failure and provided proof that I was within the warranty period. They notified me within a few days that a replacement would be shipped at NO COST to me. I received the replacement three days before expected delivery. Reliable equipment provided by a company who stands behind its warranty! Thanks Inkbird!

Este termómetro no es resistente al agua. Empezó a gotear después de dos meses.

The Thermometer works well ... but it leaks. Also the silicone ring with hole for attaching it to the side of the pool is very weak and tears.I found it had leaked after I saw the batteries were low on power. Once I opened the canister I saw the corrosion and corroded batteries. I had time to return it but the return policy for this is to return it in the original box. Just wasn't worth the headache.I did however, clean off all the corrosion, replaced the batteries (since I was basically stuck with it) and tightened down the top to the point I cannot remove it by hand. So far I don't think it has leaked anymore ... but I'm going on the fact that I don't see the batteries weakening. I also take it out when the grandkids are up here swimming. I think the extra splashing doesn't help with the leaking. My recommendation is if you want to try it, it works good. Just tighten it as tightly as possible and hope for the best. Keep your original box for the return time. And using the hole in the silicone gasket is no use.

While I LOVE the ability to check the pool temperature from the kitchen, I do have a couple complaints about the unit. First and foremost - the pool probe is not 100% waterproof. The little holes in the 'chimney' will allow water inside the unit, and get the electronics wet as it passes by. I have since sealed the holes in the chimney with silicone caulk, but by then the insides had already developed rust. Any situation where the chimney might get wet could cause water to get inside. Rain, trapped under the solar cover, or swallowed by the skimmer. All three have happened, including just regular submersion because reasons like the kids were making waves. So the inside is rusty, now. Additionally, it can't even agree with itself. As you can see here, I had the pool unit on the kitchen table to dry out after a battery change. Note that despite being at the same temperature for well over an hour, the probe has the house at 71 degrees and the base unit says the house it at 75 degrees. So, the house is actually 71 degrees - which I confirmed with our Nest thermostat is the correct temperature. Additionally, sometimes the pool probe simply loses connection with the base unit and the base unit needs the batteries yanked for a few seconds in order to reconnect. While I like this little unit a lot, I do wish I could LOVE it.
