These have a good heft to them, seem durable and strong and I like the long mixing area in front of each well. The ceramic makes me feel classier than my plastic palettes.

Nice and HEAVY, good robust ceramic. Well-packed and both pieces arrived in excellent condition. Rough and scratchy on the bottom -- I plan to use a silicone baking sheet under it, both to protect my table surface and also to provide a non-skid drip catcher for my inks.

Two allowed for multiple paintings at one time. As others have stated, the bases are rough. I rubbed them with coarse sandpaper until smooth.I like the two, symmetrical well size versus other ceramic palettes with random placement or multiple well sizes.These are my favourite palettes. Will no longer use my cheap plastic ones.

First of all the quality of these pallets is very good. They are heavy ceramic. They have little round spots for your dabs of paint and then slanted areas to mix colors ….with no staining . They are easy to mix paints in . They are easy to clean….. you get two of them! Very good value!

Great for small projects when you aren't using a lot of colors. Also you can use an acrylic marker to mark you colors on the side and the writing will wipe off during cleaning. Sometimes its easy to get the various shades of black and dark blues mixed up. Plus sometimes I will forget which shade of yellow I put out and will need more. Marking the sides saves me from having to take the time to figure it out. Also easy to clean up. A bit heavy and breakable so I wouldn't suggest traveling with them.

These small palettes are perfect for limited palette painting. They clean up well and the whiteness gives you true color when mixing. They aren't good for travel in my opinion because ceramics chip and break easily but they are very nice for studio painting.

Great value at $20.00 CAN for pair of palettes. Combination of sloping and circular wells and glazed ceramic construction are desirable features. Slightly rough underside can be corrected with sanding with diamond stone. Place palette on mat if working on delicate table. Much better than plastic palette as it is non staining and water does not bead up as it can does on plastic version. Weight and fragility lead to poor score for portability; designed for studio use.

Love this palette for form and function. I prefer this type of surface for watercolor over anything else. Nice size for desk work. Depending on your kit, might be ok for plein air too. Excellent quality.

Extremely easy to clean- just wipe off with a damp cloth/tissue. Slanting wells allow you to go from a concentrated mix to a tea wash in one section. This 2 pack is so convenient; I use one for bright botanical colors and the other for muted, earthy landscape colors.
