10 year battery failed after 25 days... I installed 5 of these in my home around 2/4/25, I purchased a 4-pack and a single. I installed the single in my master bedroom and on 2/27/25 at about it started beeping. We had just gone to sleep and we though there may be a fire in the home. After quickly ruling that out, I pushed the reset button and it stopped beeping. (We have all 5 wired together so they sound through the entire home) After that happened, I noticed the light on this detector that is normally constant green was flashing green. All of the others still had a solid green LED. The following day the light started flashing red so I removed the smoke detector and sent it to Amazon to be replaced on 2/28/25. I'm hoping it was merely a fluke and this is not an indication of a broader issue. (Flashing red indicates the battery is either dead or dying) I checked the power at multiple places to ensure proper voltage and even had my power company verify my volt meter readings. I'll update my review if the replacement performs better. As of now, I'm not impressed, and being awoken from a dead sleep due to a failed battery is not something I appreciate.

The set up and wiring was super easy, fits perfectly into the space where the 20 year old Kidde smoke alarm was and looks great (not an eyesore like some smoke detectors). Same a size as the former smoke detector.

I bought these for the known brand quality.I was going to order some cheaper knock-offs but realized how dumb it would be to scrimp on safety.They were easy enough for me to install but only because I was replacing old alarms.

I bought this to replace an old and discolored smoke detector. The installation was easy and only took a few min. We will have to see if it will last 10 years.

Had to replace a smoke detector. Same company as the one I replaced. Wanted straight hardwire and this has a 10 year battery in it for backup. Easy job to replace and no fake beeps that would aggravate the household.
