You can't go wrong with this set for most general purposes. It comes in a nice aluminum case that can probably be reused for another purpose when it's no longer needed by pulling out the inserts. The bits are sharp and since there are 5 of them, you're covered for most sizes. There are a couple flat spots on the shank to insure there's no slippage while drilling. It's "only" HSS, but has a titanium nitride coating which helps with durability and heat dissipation. The center punch is decent as well, and is handy to have. It comes apart by unscrewing, so the tip can be replaced when needed. The only minor criticism I have is that the sizes stamped on the bits themselves are difficult to read, even with glasses. They're small, thin and faint. But the set is good overall.

This is a nice 5-piece set of step bits. They come in a nice aluminum case and also have a center punch included with them. They seem to be made decently and I believe they will hold up as well and as long as my Dewalt ones. I have only used two of them to test them out and they work just like they should. For the price, you can't really go wrong since I spent this much to get my dealt 2 pack set. I give these a solid 4/5 stars.

These work very well on sheet brass. Twist drills just tear it up. I make a lit of pieces for my garden railroad and these have always performed well. Case and center punch are a welcomed addition.
