We bought this back in Aug but because of construction delays it just got installed by our contractor recently. We haven’t even moved into our place yet it looks like the surface of the hardware is already damaged since it’s already rusted. Our contractor recommended us to contact the vendor to get it replaced because if it’ll only get worse over time. I reached to Amazon and it gave me 3 options: 1) return the item to get a refund and pay a restocking fee; 2) return the item to get it replaced and pay a restocking fee; 3) contact the manufacturer directly. I understand that it has passed the 1 month return period but none of this is acceptable. For construction materials, a return period of 1 month is simply not enough. This is why Home Depot has a 3 month return policy. In addition, I don’t understand why the item needs to be returned for us to get a replacement. Are they looking to sell a defective item to someone else? If not, why is there a restocking fee? Is a picture not enough proof that it’s defective? Of course, I’ll be reaching out to Kohler directly at this point but I shouldn’t have too. Amazon as the vendor should take responsibility for the items being sold on its platform. I shouldn’t have to go out of ways to make things easier for Amazon. Having been a Prime member for 11 years and have spent who knows how much money on Amazon. Its customer service really deteriorated over the years. For anyone looking for construction materials, I’d recommend Home Depot instead.

Pretty expensive and you're stuck when you buy that Kohler tub. Happy to find an open box item here that was about half price! Whoever checks returns does a good job because I've bought a few other things and haven't had any issues with missing parts or defects.

Got this version because the brass was back-ordered all the way to next year! So I got this one since a renovation wont wait for a year. Worked just fine, no issues with installation ( according to my contractor) and looks perfect on the Kohler tub we have ...not that they gave us options for this products style but still... very "classic/modern look". I haven't used it long enough to know how the quality is but will be updating if anything worth mentioning happens!

love the look of the over flow and the tub stopper is an excellent design. the over flow is not the easiest that i have ever installed. if you are installing this i would recommend purchasing a 1 1/2 inch rubber connector/adapter (4 inches long). i had to cut the pipe from the over flow to the T and install it to allow the pipes to line up for installation. it gives you flexibility to make the connection to existing plumbing drainpipes. also you had better be good at gluing and fitting the pipes together quickly because it is a one shot deal. make sure to dry fit before gluing. the tub (archer) and it's accompanying overflow seem to be best suiting for a new construction install. i gutted my bathroom space more or less and without easy access to the space behind the tub, it would have been nearly impossible. not as user friendly as slip nut connectors which allow for some variance in drain, T, and overflow positioning. good materials, but not smooth to work with. obviously geared to the professional plumber, new home construction purchaser. and of course those of us do it your selfers who won't stop until we get right.

The Kholer folks in the US and Thailand offered no realistic help. I needed the top part only of this overflow drain immediately. WOW! There was no help at all from Kholer. But Amazon got the piece to me in Thailand, half-way around the world, in three days!OK so I paid $198 for a $77 part, but consider please:1) I had made a custom marble mammoth-sized tub using 1.5 cm thick marble slabs; no standard overflow drain would fit.2) No US or other nation's plumbing site I was able to find offered any solution to allow me to keep the 54 cm high marble tub sides from filling near to full to allow a full deep soak my back needs,3) my local architect and builder could only suggest a 5 cm diameter round plastic pipe installed at 35 cm from the floor of the tub.4) working with a true Master Plumber and a true Master Marble Cutter, they fashioned a spot 50 cm from the floor, oval cut the marble to the shape of the drain, used the plastic pipe and cut it to size, and laid the marble tile on top to achieve the goal I sought. Double WOW!Sadly the marble twin sink credenza top has not yet arrived without cracks (it is due in 10 days, hah!) or the custom decorated sinks from China that are only 3 months late. Thus the water has not been hooked up to test the drain but.... I have faith it will work without leakage as 100% (concealed) silicone was generously used and in our 23 years abroad in Asia, does not grow mold or harden for decades.Thank you Amazon!

This overflow will NOT fit most tubs. So, unless you already have a Kohler tub with a matching overflow opening, you will be returning this item as soon as you have opened the box.I give it only 1 star because Kohler should have this particularity clearly stated in their Product info, specs, assembly instructions and anywhere else where they can think about.Instead, they tell you that the color and finish will match the look of faucets with the same color and finish. But they don't tell you that the shape of this overflow kit ONLY matches certain tubs.We are now 1 year later and I'm reading the comments posted by some people about how I should have consulted with a professional instead of low-rating the item.Well, I must say I still disagree. And this is why:- first of all, no-one but myself knows the circumstances that lead to the purchase of this product via Amazon. So assuming that I had the opportunity and time to "consult with a professional" and therefore should done just that, just goes to show that these comments are completely irrelevant to my situation.- second, the entire point of buying on-line is to be able to do things on your own, for a better price (and if this means bypassing a professional, so be it) - it is the responsibility of the manufacturer and the seller to provide sufficient information in order to educate the potential customers, so that they can go ahead and purchase the product on their own.- third, many products out there are shown with a technical sheet, showing detailed drawing and measurements and compatibility info (something like: "fits xxxxx..."). This is what it takes to deserve a 5 star rating and I don't think that it's too much to ask. The fact that that sheet is missing here and that a customer has to rely on a photo (or for that matter, pay extra to get professional advise) is to me a sign of lower quality, since product-quality is not just about what it is made of and how long it lasts but also about making the selection and purchasing experience of the customer as smooth as possible. The companies who understand that, receive the 5 stars. The others don't.So my apologies to all the plumbers out there who feel like desperate housewives like myself represent a threat to their jobs.In the meantime, know that I have been capable of building and decorating a 3.000 sq/f house, using nothing but on-line products and info, and other that for this one incident due to the lack of something as simple to implement as a technical sheet, everything else has gone really well and I now live in the house of my dreams and can happily say: " I saved a ton of money by doing a lot of things myself and I'm proud of it!"
