Works great for running my 1.5HP septic pump. I use it in my kids bubble bath, or watering plants for running at slower speeds. Would be nice if it was water proof but doesnt appear to be. Well made.

I use this on my bending machine to bend the sides of my dobros. Allows me to adjust the heat blanket to proper limits.

This worked for a very short time (maybe a minute or so) on a couple drills I had. Then it just quit working on the Variable setting. Even then, the drills with brushed AC motors I used were completely un-loaded. I didn't even get to drill one hole in anything! It still worked on the Full Speed setting though. When it did work on the Variable setting, it only controlled the speed from about one-half speed up to full speed. This too was disappointing. On the positive side though, it did seem to be solidly built; the reason I gave it a one star rating.I should have listened to the various poor review of this product.

I bought this for my pondless waterfall pump. Works exactly like like it should. I had seen a flow control just like this on the company website but of course it cost a whole lot more. Glad I ordered it here.

I use carbide bits almost every day in a two-handed tool that looks like an oversized Dremel. These tools are for industrial construction (mainly pipefitting) and have only an ON/OFF switch. The speed is probably over 10,000 rpm. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. Now I can dial down the rpms and avoid chatter and over-cut (especially on plastics). As another commenter noted, inside is a pot screw for range adjustment. I set mine before ever using it. It is a cheaply made item, but so cheaply priced that I ordered a second for backup.Just get it.

I don't know this item is defective or faulty or not. it is runing very well from low to medium to high ...but when I turns high to medium or low....it seems the controller doesnot work .....it is still in high mode.... it can not control backward....it is weird...!!!! I try it one more time....if i set it low mode.....it runs very well....then I tunes it to med mode.....the controller will be increasing the speed....then i put it in high mode......it increases the speed... it works well......but when I turn the knob back to medium mode....it is still in high mode nothing happened....not reducing speed....then I turn the knob to low....the same speed in high mode.....Is it defective ??? I can controll forward not backward...something is wrong with the item...???9/26/2020I just find out why is my controller is not working. in the user guide is missing one piece of information that makes the controller work...that is VR switch. When you open the back ...you will see the swich or the variable resister with slot groove adjusting button...use slotted screwdriver to adjust it. follow the instruction...turn the dial to "low" then switch to the VAR positionif the router runs at "low" on the rotary dial , adjust the "VR" switch clockwise until the router does not run . so when uoy tunn the rotary dial...it will be variabe mode now... that the way I do....to make the controller work... be careful when adjusting with live circuit....or you can unplug it and adjust little bit clockwise then test it......until you satisfy
