I confirmed on Magnaflow's website and ordered this item twice through Amazon. Both times it came in with the same packaging issue. Part number 12224 should be 2" inlet / outlet and both times it arrived labeled as 2.25" inlet / outlet. No it is not just a bad label but the pipe does in fact measure 2.25 inches. This is a factory defect so someone needs to look into the packaging and labeling because this should be item 12225.

Hated that the factory exhaust had no sound. Replaced factory muffler with Magnaflow and the sound is incredible. It has a deep note that sounds great without being obnoxiously loud. 5.3l with dual exhaust that exits through the rear bumper.

Sounds much better than stock just had to add a piece of pipe about 6 inches long.

No complaints seems well built and sounds great, much better then the stock muffler on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra coupe. Did a lot of research before purchasing this specific muffler for my car and this seems to be the most popular choice by Elantra owners who want a little more sound without overdoing it. Fits well and hung easy (mounted at a local shop) will update if anything changes but so far so good.

Magnaflow is one of the best brands of mufflers that money can buy and for good reason. Magnaflow features a stainless steel, straight through design that possesses a smooth and deep tone while not being overly loud or droning when cruising. I installed this muffler and deleted the resonator on a 2015 VW Jetta 2.0L 5 speed. Although I swapped this muffler due to its quieter nature, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an upgrade in sound, performance, efficiency, and overall quality over their stock muffler.

Great quality. Got it installed on my 2015 Silverado w/5.3l. Removed adaptive exhaust valve. Resonator was suppose to be removed but wasn’t. Sounds a lot deeper and growly. You can hear it when you accelerate. V4 drone can be heard IF your a/c is off and radio is off otherwise you can’t hear it. Tire hum is louder. Driving in M5 eliminates it. I will be having the resonator removed as it is too quiet for me. Update will be posted later.

This muffler is exactly what I was looking for. I also deleted the resonator and flapper, but it’s perfect. A nice, deep and decent volume tone when you mash the gas, or getting off a light/stop sign, but virtually zero drone on the highway or cruise speed. It made my 2017 GMC Sierra sound like a truck and no longer like a Prius. 5/5. Highly recommend.

Really happy I got this. Cost of part plus professional welded installation was far less than the slip on kits. Glad I got the 14” rather than 18” - I wanted my truck to sound a bit more aggressive without pissing off my neighbors. It indeed has a nice low rumble but isn’t that loud or obnoxious. I hear a bit of drone in the cab when accelerating or otherwise pushing the engine, but hear hardly anything when cruising. I was a little nervous the 14” would be too loud, but it’s perfect. I have 2014 Ram 1500 hemi crew cab with single pipe.

Very fast delivery and exactly what i wanted !! It was for a jeep liberty crd diesel.I was straight pipe my wife thought it was to loud so this muffler tone down that sound .

This was a great deal for me but I would have been perfectly happy having paid the full price. I put this on my 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7L. It had the deep rumble that I wanted without having the crackling effect. It also wasn't too loud that you get annoyed by it. The sound is great up to about 30 mph and after that you can still hear it but it isn't too much. The highway trips are not too loud for everyone else then, IE the wife and kids aren't annoyed.

I used this muffler (12226)on an 06 Jeep Liberty. I added an 18" section of exhaust pipe from the local auto parts store and it replaced the enormous (and restrictive) factory muffler perfectly with virtually no trimming. 5 minutes later with a MIG welder, (You could use exhaust clamps if you wanted, but I have a welder so why not use it?) the job was done.Total time for the project was about 20 minutes, and now my little truck gets about 1mpg better. As for the sound, it seems exactly like the stock as far as tone and noise reduction, but I have the Turbo Diesel version of the Liberty, so that may be a factor. (Exhaust is identical for gas and CRD applications)Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. It works well, fit perfectly, and is nice and quiet.
