Mighty Mule Replacement Control Board MM500 Series, Red

The R4211 control board is the replacement circuit board for the Mighty Mule FM500, FM502, the PRO-SW2500, PRO-SW2502, PRO-SW3000XL, PRO-SW3200XL, PRO-SW4000XL and the PRO-SW4200XL automatic gate openers. This control board is meant to be a durable, reliable replacement for the circuit board in any of these gate openers. The R4211 control board is capable of handling single and dual gate installations and it can support push-to-open and pull-to-open settings. All GTO/Mighty Mule accessories will work with this board and it is made to fit easily into any control box.

The swap out was very easy just plug and play. Unfortunately it never played. By the time I was able to make contact with the manufacturer for troubleshooting and receive and repair the suggested problem it still wasn’t working properly. Seven days after my return date. My $300 loss I guess? That sucks !

The replacement board works just like the old board. Looks the same too. I replaced the old board after I used a solar charger on my 12 volt deep cycle battery in hopes that I would not have to periodically recharge my deep cycle battery. I do not understand why my old board failed. I used the solar charger for a few days and then my old board was malfunctioning. The old board did not go completely dead but it had to be replaced. Maybe a capacitor got blown? I am not gonna use a solar recharger again.

Updated version of the original that came with our Mighty Mule. Called Mighty Mule up and they have excellent customer service to walk you through anything you need to get it up and running. Simple fix and worked excellent.

Ordered this to save some cash. (used or open box) It works great. Installed this morning. The only issue I have is the order pictured and said it was a red board. The one I received is blue making it an older production board. Not the latest and greatest but it works. The price was good so I'm happy.

It arrived quickly and appears to be a perfect replacement for original board. Have not used it yet as old boar started working again. Will keep as a spare just in case. Hope it works when I need it. Much easier and cheaper to buy from Amazon than from Mighty Mule in Florida.

The board was very easy to install but I could not get the stop limits to work. Finally, I disconnected power and removed the battery hoping the board would reset itself.It worked and I was easily able to set the stop limits. All is good is again.I wouldn't have even tried this repair but I could not get a single company to come out to my semi-rural property to repair the gate. I had no choice but to fix it myself. I'm glad I did!One last IMPORTANT thing. I had to order this circuit board THREE times because Amazon kept shipping it in the manufacturer's flimsy box that got squashed. Order the board with just about any other item so Amazon will pack it in another box!!!

My only complaint is that MM boards do not last. I am on my 4th board. The usually fail after about 3 years. Mighty Mule tech support is readily available but whenever the gate starts having problems the tell me to buy a new board which is the most expensive component to replace. Amazon provides the best price that I have found. Much cheaper than buying direct from Mighty Mule.

I have had a Mighty Mule 500 gate opener for 10 years now. In 2013 I had a lightning strike that shut it down and did a lot of other damage too. I called Mighty Mule and they sent me a whole refurbished unit at a discounted price. I installed it and kept the old unit in my barn. I had another lightning strike do the same thing this time, and by the time I got around to troubleshooting the gate opener, Hurricane Irma had hit Florida (Mighty Mule is Tallahassee I believe.) Couldn't get a hold of them as they were in the middle of that. No LED's were lit on the control board, so I order this and installed it. When I tried to open the gate, it wouldn't work as I kept burning out a fuse every time I tried to open it. I checked resistance across the power lines to the control arm, only 0.6 ohms. I got out the old control arm from 2007. 3.6 ohms. I replaced the 2013 control arm with the old one from 2007 and it worked perfectly. Moral of the story: check the resistance across the red and black lines that go to the control arm before you order this board. They plug into the "master operation" bus on the left side of the board. If the resistance is very low, you might as well order a hole new unit or call Mighty Mule.
