Excellent product, thanks to a fellow on YT who's name will not be mentioned, Joe, I had to buy this after his highlights of this tool. I love the multipurpose utility of this Uni-Mike. Both anvils come in oil impregnated dip seal coatings. The micrometer itself comes in heavy weight plastic that is heat sealed and includes anti-rust paper. The end of the spindle is mirror polished carbide, love it!

Great product but not for my purpose. The geometry of this does not allow for measuring larger than a quarter inch. Since I needed this for a lathe,I returned it. I'm sure it would measure well, but the support restricts the diameters and orientation you can measure.

Another great product from mitutoyo. Solid and heavy makes you feel like quality is present at first touch. Measures spot on right out out the box with both the flat anvil and the pin. All my hand tools are mitutoyo and will continue to do business with the company. Except for indicators. I use interapid.

I bought this mike to use as a tube mike. As is typical for Mitutoyo, the build quality, feel, and accuracy are dead nuts on. The versatility of an exchangeable anvil mike is great to have.

Good quality mic. This was approximately .0002 off when sent but it was no big deal to adjust with the supplied wrench. Friction thimble works great to stop it from lifting off the surface when used as a step mic. Seems heavier than the Starrett version but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
