Mobil Polyrex EM is the recommended lubricant for Baldor's high end "Superior" series motors.I acquired one of these motors, used, for use in a 24" pro wood lathe that I am currently designing. However, it was a used motor and the bearings sounded a bit rough when the motor shaft was spun. This is not a major problem for me. As a mechanical Engineer with a well equipped shop, I have no problem replacing the bearings. But, I wanted to re-lube the bearings to see if that would help them run smoother. After checking with Baldor, I ordered a small cartridge of Mobil Polyrex EM (great price from Amazon). When I received the Mobil Polyrex EM grease and checked it out, I was amazed at it's cohesion and lubricating properties. I re-lubricated the bearings using the Zerk fittings on the motor. When I spun up the motor for just a minute or two the bearings were silent and smooth as silk with no "bearing drag".This is, with out a doubt one of the best greases that I have ever used. I will be using Mobil Polyrex EM for all motors in my shop from now on.Mobil Polyrex EM has my highest recommendation.

Motor manufacturer specified this grease for the bearings. Blue in color. Seems to work well.

I was excited when I received this at my doorstep. I have been looking locally for any place that sold a grease that contained polyurea for use with my starter motor that I was in the process of rebuilding. I was unable to find anything that sounded suitable for use on the starter. My particular starter had areas with plastic that needed lubrication in addition to the bearings/bushings, so I need to ensure the plastic wouldn't be corroded overtime. Happy to report the starter spins freely and quietly following dismantling, cleaning, and reassembly with new brushes and this grease. I would highly recommend this grease to anyone who needs grease for a motor. Little to no smell, pretty dark blue color, and very easy application. I did not load this into a grease gun, and so far the grease seems very stable within the container (I have had other greases separate and leak out when sitting). This is the second type of 'Mobil' branded grease I've purchased. I definitely recommend this, or their synthetic grease for other applications.

OEM Baldor bearing grease. Make sure you actually use the information from baldor, taking into account your motor size, and figure out your bearing sizes, to know exactly how much grease to put in, and how often, and do it nice and slow. This is a top of the line Urea grease, and lasts a very long time in the cozy environment of electric motor bearings. They catered the grease to the application, so you should to.
