Great little light stands. Pretty good quality and a great alternative when the full-sized ones aren't needed.

It's lowest position is about 12 inches and it's very sturdy at that height. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it when it's in a higher position but would work OK for a small light. I use it for holding my Alien Bee as a background light or as a table top stand for video lights. Seems to work OK so far but I'm not terribly confident in the plastic thumb screws but they could be easily replaced if they strip. Obviously one of the limitations is that the small legs won't give a wide base of support like a traditional light stand. I'd buy it again if I needed additional small light stands.

Los compré porque muchas veces necesito iluminar desde el suelo y tienen muy poca altura, con lo cual son perfectos. Al abrirse y cerrarse me resultan un poco duros en comparación con otros que he tenido antes, pero tienen muy buena estabilidad. No son nada pesados y caben en cualquier parte.

We use these for on site shoots and they are made tough enough to meet this challenge. Small enough to throw in the carry bag with other stands and not even know they are there so no extra bags or boxes are needed for travel. These are sturdy well designed used as back light stands that actually hold an umbrella or softbox and not fall over.I recommend these...

I can't give these five stars because:1. The plastic parts can easily be broken by someone in a hurry or not so mindful of their gear as a hobbyist who has plenty of time and no photo shoot schedule to keep.2. The spigot cannot be removed.3. The spigot only has one threaded end. Any good light stand has a removable spigot which can be flipped around to expose 1/4" and 3/8" threaded ends.4. Rivets were used where nuts and bolts are appropriate.They have short legs by their nature of being small desktop stands. So, large or heavy gear will easily tip them over. It's basic physics. Don't use a wheelbarrow when you need a dump truck.For the price, the quality is almost as good as can be expected. I'm gentle on my gear, so expect these to serve me just fine.

Inexpensive, compact, and predictable build quality from Neewer (not the best but not the worst). Relatively unobtrusive spread between legs so it doesn't take up too much valuable desk space (I keep one set up permanently next to my monitors). Honestly, would have preferred an option to buy 1 by itself but will eventually use both I'm sure.

Love these stands! They are very short, which works great for my needs. I do pet photography, and frequently have to light up kittens and pups that are small/short. I used these stands with the Neewer 480 LED dimmable lamp and its fairly sturdy on it's own. I'm sure if an animal bumped it, it would tumble. I'll work on making it more secure with sandbags or something. Good quality, though!

The stands certainly are not the best I’ve ever purchased but they aren’t crap either. They serve their purpose and hold an alien been backlight pretty well. I wish it was a little longer but overall, a great value for the money. I only needed one and ended up selling the other one for the same price I paid for both.
