I got this to use with Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT. It added immediately to my devices and seems to be functioning as expected.

This NEO Zigbee Water Sensor was exactly what we needed for the laundry room. It was easily paired via ZHA in Home Assistant. After creating an automation, I did a quick test with a water dropper and it alerted so it seems to work exactly as expected. Overall, I’m pleased and recommend it.

My one complaint about this device is that the sensor puck is so light and the connecting wire has so much springiness, you have to do something to force the sensor to stay flat on the floor (e.g. put a weight on it).

Hubitat specific note: I found a community driver named "Tuya NEO Coolcam Zigbee Water Leak Sensor" installable from the Hubitat package manager, and this device works like you'd expect. Too soon to comment on battery life.I like that the water sensor puck is reversible. It detects water the same way top and bottom, so orientation doesn't matter. Best of all, placing it under a potential drip will detect as soon as one drop hits the top, before it builds up enough water to puddle on the bottom. Good design.

This worked well with Home Assistant - I added it Zigbee2MQTT - it came up as unsupported, at first, but it kept going through configuration and eventually managed to get it interviewed and identified. There's switch with three numbered positions, each position corresponds to Siren/Sound with l ight, Sound only, and blink only. This should've been some sort of icon like an alarm or speaker or something because who knows 5 years from now, when I can't find the book, what that slider is for? So I am printing out a label and putting it on there. Also - at least as of right now, this does NOT show the right image in Z2M - but rather something that looks similar. It comes up as an eWeLink SNZB-05.I am not a fan of the battery door - because it is really hard to take off unless the unit is stuck to the wall. Also, it comes with 3M tape already stuck on it. I prefer to use my own Nano tape (less residue when removing). However I did manage to peel off the tape, albeit a little mess behind. I wish it had the capability to be hardwired. Glad it's AAA batteries and not the typical CR2 or CR123A stuff.

This is a review of the Zigbee water leak detector from Neo. I was unsuccessful in getting the sensor to pair with my new Amazon Echo Show 8. I did contact the company support and they quickly confirmed that based on their testing there are compatibility issues with the Show 8. And they only recommend using SmartThings hub or Home Assistant. So, it doesn’t look like I will get this to work. I don’t want to buy more devices. I gave it a 3 rating because it didn’t work for me, but that doesn’t mean it won't work OK with SmartThings. I was happy with the quick response from their customer service. I wish they would have put in their product description that it is only to be used with SmartThings or Home Assistant Hub.

Easy to install and added as a Zigbee device in my Abode system. It was recognized and worked for a day then disconnected.. placed it close to the Abode hub and connected for a day then was not recognized. It is a great price and may well work but I don’t want 2 parallel systems so will revert to the more expensive product I have installed and works.
