This Company did not mention in the description at all that it has to be took off after every use the motor which if you partially disabled it’s kinda hard and then they had a nurse charge me a $50 return and stocking fee bad business for AmeriCu

I saw a comment saying that "this is the cheapest" POS that Panther has ever put out". And now that I have bought it... I agree! First, they use carriage bolts to secure the "platform" to the actual plate that attaches to the transom. If you decide to "undo" your bolts from the plate it will strip the square holes in the plate then rendering your efforts to "unscrew" them to NIL. So... Based on this, I would tell anyone considering buying this to STAY AWAY!

A pretty sturdy item but the bolts to attach the unit to the boat were too long and bulky. Had to get ones from WestMarine for a cleaner and more comfortable result. The bolts to attach composite mount to frame came with 2 sets of 2 different bolts and no explanation on how to use them. Had to swap some as well and add sturdier washers.

Had to redrill that hole, and got a bigger "standard" hex bolt for it! Lock nuts have no friction to hold top screw firmly while tightening -- bolts turn and chew up the square hole. I am pretty sure regular nuts w/ washers would fix this! But just know -- I was careful, as I knew this was a problem with these from reading previous reviews. It still happened! Not fully thought out by manufacturers! A real pain in the butte. But the item should work fine! And it seems fairly strong!

Good quality materials, provided everything i needed for the install (except the sealant of course). Very simple install with good instructions. Overall it was exactly what I needed and it gets the job done. I’m using a very light weight old 2 stroke with this and tie it up out of the way when not in use, I sort of wish I’d gone with the lifting model just to help keep the kicker clear of the water when not in use.

Put together today. I can see how others have stripped the square hole. I stripped one of the holes. Managed to still tighten nut. Overall, first impression....... do not buy...... it tells in instructions you cannot trailer with motor on.Very poor quality for your money.Not too sure if I trust it. Luckily I am only using a 9.9.
