About this item

  • Brackets constructed of heavy gauge steel for maximum strength
  • Comes in a corrosion resistant, zinc plated finish
  • Designed for use in and around the home, in the garage, shop, business, office, on furniture, on metal, wood, and more
  • Features two mounting holes, one per leaf, both tapered to allow for flush fitting fasteners
  • Easy to install with only a few simple tools

These hurricane condenser tie-down brackets are constructed of solid steel and come in a zinc-plated finish. Each bracket features a 1/4 inch inside dimension floor fastening hole and fourteen 3/16 inch inside dimension optional height fastening holes. These hurricane straps are designed to secure vulnerable, free-standing condenser units to solid ground (or hurricane pads) to withstand high hurricane and tropical storm winds. Securing free-standing condenser units help to prevent damage to costly HVAC systems, or other property damage and injury. Note: Installation of new HVAC systems in areas prone to hurricanes and tropical storms are required to use hurricane condenser brackets like these (or similar) and should be confirmed with local building codes. These straps are used by many, and are easy to install.

Nice item, good price. A needed item for anchoring central AC to concrete pad.

I installed these prior to Hurricane Laura. The universal fit worked perfectly and the install was very easy.

I am glad to say I haven't had to test them, but they were easily installed.

Went ahead tied down my outdoor ac unit for the hurricane seasons. Just be careful when using self tapping screws. I only used 1/2" long to avoid damaging the AC coil.

These came in handy just before hurricane Irma hit FL, as my AC unit wasn't secured to it's slab. Mounting holes lined up perfectly, so the install was easy.
