I have a number of bulkhead fittings for all my rain barrels and I picked up this pack to hopefully finish up adding fittings to them all.Unlike my other fittings that are brass or steel, this is plastic. It isn't too big of a concern for me since I'm not using this on super big barrels that are high pressure, so it should function just fine. I have a few taller barrels that I'm installing a second bulkhead on as a way to connect an overflow hose. A few of these fittings will be used for that purpose.I have not had these long enough to know how well they last, especially outside and exposed to hot and cold. They've done ok for a few weeks in the summer at indirect sun. The real test will be in the winter, the freeze has caused a bit of damage to my other PVC pipe fittings.

I got this only to use the threaded cap and it worked well at capping the ends. Although this is made out of plastic, it does the job and closing the ends. I use it on my rinse-free spot filter system and once I'm done using it. It tends to drip a little water from the ends, I use the caps to close it off so it stops spilling unto the floor and so far it has worked. No complaints so far.

This YRDL PVC bulkhead fitting is exactly what I needed for my rain barrel project. The 1/2" NPT to 3/4" GHT adapter is a perfect fit and the included plug is a great bonus. Installation was easy and the connection is tight, with no leaks whatsoever. The PVC construction feels durable and I'm confident it will hold up well over time. I replaced the bulkhead fittings for my rain barrel and self watering planters with these and they have been working great. These things are made of good plastic, the washers are good so there has been no leaking, and they were easy to install. A 1 1/8" hole works for these although you can also put them into a 1" hole but have to screw them in. The 3/4" threads allow you to attach them to a standard garden hose.

These adapters are plastic so one might wonder how long they will last. That being said, they are easy to use and fit well.

We have a large network of hydroponic "Dutch" buckets, and these bulkhead fittings make for perfect drains for the buckets.Basically how we set up ours (in case you want to try this) is we drill the hole for the bulk head fitting about two inches from the bottom of the 5-gallon bucket, so there is always some water in the bottom, then we line the bucket with a 5-gallon mesh paint strainer before adding our substrate, which keeps the end of the bulkhead fitting from getting clogged.

As other reviews state, these are a nice value. I used a 1 inch bit, which worked after I reamed it out just a tiny bit. Seems very durable. The size is standard so there's no need to do any 'work arounds'. I'm pleased
