This bit says ¾", however, it is actually a 1' reamer so ultimately, it was a waste of money.

I had a 1-1/2" ABS tee in the wall that had a damaged piece coming out of it for the bathroom sink. Way too short to cut and glue a coupling on. So I spent the $19 and waited for this tool, (2days). It fit exactly inside the tee and reamed the glued ABS pipe out in less than 30 seconds. The new 1-1/2" pipe fit exactly into the reamed out tee so I glued it in place and I was back in business. Saved me from opening the wall and cutting the existing plumbing to replace it. Excellent product. Probably saved me $50 in DIY parts and labor.

This reamer will get you out of a bind. It is good quality and works well. Just be sure not to go too fast or it will melt instead of cut.UPDATED: I've bought several sizes of these bu I had not used this particular size until I tried to use it today. AND IT WAS THE WRONG SIZE. The center/pilot section was correctly sized for a 3/4" pipe but the Cutting Diameter was sized for a 1" pipe. See photos, the cutting diameter is 1.31", this will completely cut away the entire fitting, not just the pipe inside of it. See 2nd photo with 3/4" cutter sitting on top of 3/4" fitting. The outside diameters are the SAME!This one was manufactured INCORRECTLY and it almost cost me major repairs if I hadn't noticed the size problem. Beware, and check sizes before reaming. For this reason I changed my rating to 1 star.

Like the headline said, this is one of those tools that you don't need often as it's usually quicker and cheaper (in terms of time) to replace the fittings and go on. But sometimes this is the only way, for example a pipe in the attic broke off flush with the tee and your only other option is to completely re-pipe the whole thing to make the repair or you can use this tool fix the broken leg and be done

Often when a new product shows up on Vine, it seems a half-dozen variants of that same item show up simultaneously. They may differ in color or minor detail, and usually feature different “brand names” but are sometimes sufficiently similar that they could all have easily come from the same factory. This seems to be the case with the recent spate of PVC pipe reamers, like this one from Apiolo. The point of the tool is to allow for re-use of solvent-welded PVC slip fittings. The tool is chucked into your drill motor and the business end inserted into a used fitting with an embedded pipe stub. Pull the trigger and the cylindrical boring head shaves out the embedded pipe and, in theory, restores the fitting for reuse. In the case of this particular tool, sized for 3/4-inch pipe, recycling a coupler or elbow is probably not worth the trouble. On the other hand, if it’s an emergency and the stores are closed, or if you’re dealing with a more expensive fitting like a valve or union, taking a stab at refurbishing the used part starts to make sense. While the overall design of the Apiolo tool mimics the design of dozens of similar tools available on Vine and Amazon as a whole, there are minor differences. Tools for larger fittings tend to have a 3/16-inch shaft, where this tool has but a 1/4-inch shaft. The cutting bits on tools of this type may vary according to manufacturer. Most seem to favor square cutting bits (similar to the bits used on small lathe tools) though some sport diamond-shaped bits. The bits are held in place with a screw. If the tool seems to dull, remove the bit screw and rotate the bit to present a fresh cutting surface. Square bits give you four cutting edges to use, whereas the diamond-shaped bits would seem to present only two. This particular tool features the longer-life square bit. This tool is not a magic genie... success is never guaranteed. But if you proceed slowly and carefully (high feed rates lead to heating, where PVC will tear instead of shave), you may end up with a used fitting now “fit” for re-use.

Product works as advertised. It will smooth up PVC pipe cuts to perfect with ease. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it would have been better with a quick attach stem so it would also fit in a impact driver screw gun. I take a screw gun to install hangers on pvc pipe. This will not fit and lock in a screw gun. It requires a drill. Not a good thing when crawling under a house to require a second cordless tool.
