Built in soft start, handles a lot of power. I used it to add a variable throttle to a power wheels car, and it worked great, lots of room to upgrade the drivetrain as well for more power. Not ruggedized for wet environments, but it also doesn’t get super hot, so you can probably put it in a waterproof enclosure and not have any issues.

As somebody that tinkers all the time, having a motor control is a good idea. This seems to be pretty smooth and isnt jumpy on the control. I'm currently using it on a vibratory plate and it works good. It would be nice if it had a voltage readout but I put one on myself.
