The box is fine , but that is not any part of the reason I bought. Quality steel is. I have done some small jobs sofar and they are very nice to use. Fantastic price for a greater variety of chisels.

Just received the chisel set, but as in the images all the separating tabs are broken. You can see the force of a drop would pop these this soft wood tabs easily. The packaging included would not have prevented. Disappointed and stuck.Took too long to receive, need to use right away… glue and pins I guess.

Chisels came very sharp. However, the wooden case had wooden wells, separating each chisels from each other. Those were all broken within my case. Tools themselves are pretty adequate for the price.

This is a set made to do real work. The craftsmanship is superb. The set comes with 8 sizes, a sharpener, and a carrying box. The chisels are pre-sharpened so you can begin work upon arrival, which we did. We were fixing up some trim on the house and had to shave some parts down to get the perfect fit. I would highly recommend this set for handyman projects and for woodworkers alike.

These chisels are almost a great buy, but they trip on the finish line in several important areas. The Good (sorta): They come with a sharpening stone and honing guide, which is good for people who don't already have several of both. I do, and the quality of these accessories is pretty low. I don't anticipate using either, ever. They come in a superficially nice box that was broken when it arrived and takes up way too much space. I plan on storing them elsewhere. They have wooden handles which the description identifies as "Black Walnut" at one point and "beech" at another. Whatever wood they are made from has clearly been stained. It might be beech. It looks like pine. It definitely isn't Walnut. The Bad: They have cheap "metal" rings around the ends that are apparently there to give you a false sense of security that hitting these chisels with a mallet or hammer won't cause any issues, but the end of the handle is wood. All of the issues that hitting wood causes will potentially happen. They come with an edge on them, but it isn't a particularly impressive one. I have other chisels that I've yet to sharpen since buying. These need sharpened before their first use.The Meh: They are metric. Which is fine.I had intended these as my "beater" chisels (i.e. chopping). I don't know that they will end up working as that, because of the wooden ends on the handles, but with some TLC on the sharpener, they are still going to be useful, I'm sure. And for someone who has no chisels at all, getting this many at this price is actually pretty good, as long as you know what you are getting.
