Had this light for just a month, so time will tell real worth. It was very easy to install. It comes on without fail and stays on all night. It is an interesting red, not like an ambulance but softer so 'my wife says. It is bright enough so that there is really no way not to be seen. It can blink or be a solid light which is good. Worth the price and works every night.

It is a large bright light. It can be seen from a long distance and marks my dock well. Seems sturdy and well built. I hope it lasts a long time.

we purchased this red and a green light. The green works better, for some crazy reason. The red one has been a big issue. Would not stay light for a reasonable time. Contacted Amazon who got us in touch with Britta, the distributor. After proving that we did not have it covered, in the shade, etc, they agreed to send us a new one, if we sent the old one back, at our expense ($19 shipping) The new one didn't work any better and so they sent us a new battery. The connections did not match so was useless. More talking and they sent a new unit again, at our expense ($19 Shipping!!) This one does stay on for awhile, but definately not an exceptable time for it being a nautical safety light at the end of our dock. I'm not trying to hammer the product itself, I'm just letting people know that if you don't live in a mostly sunny location, you will be unhappy with the output of these... and it's not as if they cost $15 to start with. Live and learn.... we will be installing 110 volt hotwired units now.
