Very easy to use and the suction tool works great. Prefer to use than having to haul out the larger machine every time

I've been playing around with these vacuum-sealing bags, and they're solid for sous vide cooking. The three different sizes are handy, and even the small ones keep the vacuum port above the waterline, which is a big plus. The hand pump feels cheap, but it works surprisingly well. These bags are also good for freezing meat, extending their life significantly. I do wish the packaging and instructions were better, but for the price and the functionality, they do the job well.

I have other vacuum-sealing bags but I've never used them for sous vide cooking since I was pretty sure the sealing port would not be waterproof. These bags eliminate that worry. You do get 3 sizes, and even the "small" bag is tall enough (7 inches of height below the port) that the vacuum port is well above the waterline in my sous vide water bath. For those of you who have never used vacuum-sealing bags, you slide a clip over the top of the bag and then pull it across the top to quickly close it (think Ziplock bags and you've got the basic idea). The hand pump seems chintzy but it works, and it works faster than the v-s attachment on my mason jar vacuum sealer. Even if you're not using the bags for sous vide, they're great (reusable) freezer bags. Vacuum-sealing meats in bags like these extends the meats' freezer life from months to years. While I've seen better hand pumps and the set doesn't come with any instructions, you do get 5 bags each of 3 different sizes plus 5 clips - and all for what IMO is a reasonable price.

So far, I’m not too impressed with this “sous vide” set. It just came in a plastic bag with absolutely no instructions. Sometimes, I would like products that I order to arrive in more professional packaging…and with instructions!Included in the bag were the vacuum seal bags (I only noticed two slightly different sizes, but perhaps there was a third size that I didn’t notice), some sort of clips that I have no idea what I’m supposed to do with, and a hand pump. The hand pump reminds me of a bicycle or balloon pump…but in reverse.Sealing these bags using the hand pump works, but your arm might get tired after a while. As you can see in my photos, I vacuum sealed a bottle of vitamins (which I then opened up again because I realized I actually want to use those daily!) and a winter hat. They both took a lot of pumping, and my arm got tired, but they sealed.I’ll report back on how well the seal holds up.For now, though, I think these aren’t really worth the money or effort. I’d be better off using an electric sealing machine and fully/permanently sealable bags, instead.
