When looping a DP cable from the video card into the motherboard I/O shield I was a bit tired with a 1m or even a 50cm cable, both getting in the way and getting tangled easily. This 30cm cable is just long enough.

Well constructed DisplayPort cable for the new small towers, laptops and thin book computers to connect to a monitor. One benefit of this type is often the graphics card on a laptop will only support the laptop screen and one other monitor. In work locations and sometimes for home use or even home office you like to have two external, and even our laptop screen. VGA cables and HDMI will often limit that, but the card will support an extra monitor with these.This is not really made for the typical application however you need to be very close for a one foot cable to connect the computer to the monitor. I had to move my mini tower to the back and sideways to test this on a standard 24 inch computer monitor. The picture was perfect in 1080 P so the cable worked good, no evidence of poor grounding or other interference. I think it looked a little better than my HDMI, I wish it was longer though, the I won't complain too much this is for daisy chaining monitors and short run use. For those who don't know the Display Port cable standard supports audio like the HDMI, and can support 4K as well as 1080P HD. It also has an advantage that the cable can be perhaps over a hundred feet long so you could wire a house or office with it. This one's only a foot so distance losses don't matter much here. Good quality, and recommended if you need a small one, but for most computer to monitor connections get one at least 3 feet long would be my overall recommendation.

This cable is a double-ended full size HDMI about one foot long. This is the perfect length for a Roku or other small device that can be mounted right next to your monitor. The cable is stiff, probably due to its short length. So far, it's worked fine for me.

I use this cable to connect my Dell XPS 15 (via USB-C adapter) to my DELL 2408WFPb monitor. I initially wanted a short cable to minimize the cable clutter from my desktop, but I find the short (1 ft) length to be a bit restrictive and would now opt for a 3 ft. cable instead. My monitor native resolution is only capable of 1920x1200x60hz and I am (for the most part) only utilizing the Intel HD Graphics 530 internal card. In the future I plan to upgrade to a 27” 4K monitor. The cable is functional and suitable for the job at hand, but I have obviously not stressed the 4k support. As my monitor does not have built-in audio, I was not able to test the audio support. Overall, I am satisfied with the cable build and functionality in my environment
