It got dull extremely fast Next time I'll buy a name brand, This only drilled about ten holes beforeit was to dull. I have to drill a pilot hole first. In mild steel electrical boxes

Had great hopes for this step drill bit unfortunately it disappointed.Smaller holes I don't recommend this product, don't waste your time.

I ordered this step drill to drill two holes in an electrical enclosure box and was successful drilling only one hole. The bit seemed to just stall out at the 1 5/8" diameter that I needed to drill. expected to at least get both holes drilled. I had to use a small deburr tool to finish the second hole. I am NOT happy with the quality of this tool.

needed a 2" hole in an aesthetic spot in 3/16" steel.. it was already 1.5"... this was my best option. It is a man eater so be careful. probably rarely if ever use it again though
