This kit provides a very good assortment of sizes in both metric and SAE varieties. I like these much more than the wired together kind that you have to wrangle about to get the size you want while holding back the other ones. The only word of caution is these are made out of aluminum so make sure not to force these when testing as harder metals may strip them out.

This is the second kit I’ve tested in the last week and it has easily taken the top spot.Why?1. Made of anodized aluminum, not steel2. Dyed, not painted3. Clearly marked and easily legible gauges3. Passed all spot-checked thread testsThere are two other sizing references, silkscreened on the foam and printed on a label behind the top section of foam.Summary: The pocket-knife style thread gauges always leave me guessing. I was glad to have received this example of a high quality thread-checking kit to review and add to my collection of tools.
