This is a review of: Tilley Men's Ltm8 Airflo Hat - Size MMy husband is difficult to please in regards to his hats. He likes the top being fully air vented rather than a small area around the hat top. Too, though I cannot truly evaluate this benefit, the Amazon product page states this hat is washable. If this proves to be true, it is a great product feature. Amazon and the seller offered this product on Try Before You Buy which I utilized. Though more expensive than some similar products, hopefully the quality will prove to be worth the higher price. This review was written by LynKin.

I’ve had a Tilley Airflow hat for over 15 years and used continuously with no problems or even significant wear. I decided to get this new one which has a wider brim and more mesh for better airflow. It is great for days that are hot and sunny and I’m sure I will have many years of enjoyment.

I have been traveling with a sun/rain hat that was crushable. Unfortunately it looked crushed at all times. This hat is crushable, but always looks good and is comfortable, cool and easy to pack.

I purchased this one for a friend for his birthday. He's always remarked about mine, so I figured he deserved one. I've had mine since 2006 and traveled the world with it. It's just about my favorite piece of clothing and I get comments on it from people in every country I visit. You can't beat the quality, durability, and just the legendary cool factor of having an authentic Tilley! They're known the world over for their quality. Get it... you won't be disappointed. Drop it, roll it, crush it, boat with it, swim with it, run through the desert with it (I did for three years), cut grass in it, and when you get hot.. jump in the pool with it. It can take it!

This is the perfect hat for just about any outdoor activity. It keeps the sun off my face and neck and out of my eyes, and the mesh helps me to keep cooler in the hot sun. That is important for someone who plays a lot of golf year-round.

This is a great hat, the second I've owned. It's very lightweight and retains its shape even after going through the washing machine. It does what I want it to do: provides sun protection for my head and face. My one complaint has nothing to do with the hat and everything to do with the sizing advice people have given here. I ordered a hat slightly smaller than what I ordinarily would have because so many people said the hats run large. They DON'T--at least, mine doesn't--and I haven't been able to stretch out the band, so I've been "grinning and bearing it" with a hat that fits just a little too snugly to be comfortable. Ignore the sizing advice here, folks, and get the size you think you need. I like the hat so much I'm going to drop the money on a replacement that actually fits.

You just can't beat Tilly Hats. Lots of styles to choose from. We use our Tilly's mostly when sailing - great protection from the sun and the chin strap keeps them in place despite the winds. Also good for other outdoor activities. Cool, Lightweight, very practical. Washable, durable, they just last forever. This is the 4th Tilly that we've purchased.
