Love cotton hay nets but this one is HUGE like, it could hold a 2-string bale, definitely not what I needed and wish the product description had been more clear.

I like this as it’s great for those cold nights in the stall. My horse doesn’t have to pick into the small net trying to get himself warm. The netting is absolutely sturdy and well made. My only downfall is that when he pulls hay out of it plenty falls in the floor. He does try to eat what falls onto the floor but can be messy. Guess you can’t have it. It’s ways with our “hay burners”… lol

It is a quality hay net. Definitely on the large side. Will fit multiple flakes. I would have given it 5 stars if it had the metal ring at the bottom that others have. I use it to tie my nets up tight. Not sure that this one will last as long without that.

Little smaller than I expected but still works great. Can fit a decent amount of hay flakes in it. Goats approve!

I purchased this hay net for my mare who will make a mess over her hay overnight. I was pleased with the sturdiness of the rope, and it is easy to use. I purchased the green colored net, the rope it hangs by is a different shade of green and is easy to tell apart from the rest of it. It fits a very good amount of hay into it, I have to make a mixture of hay for my mare and was able to mix both into the bag easily. I’ve owned it for about 1.5-2 months now and it’s held up great. Recommend for sure!

This is the best hay bag I ever had! I am very impressed with the quality.. It is very well made. It has some metal rings on the top that helps the rope to slide wide open the bag, so you can put all the hay you want at once without making any effort. It is SO easy to fill it up! The holes are big. Exactly what I was looking for. My thoroughbred is not discouraged anymore from eating hay when he is in the stall. I absolutely recommend this excellent product.

This hay net is perfect, made with heavy rope. Holds plenty of hay, easy to open and keeps the hay off the ground. My horses are much happier without the slow feeder bags

I bought this hay net for a horse that likes to spread his hay all over the ground, and then walk around in it. He does not need a slow feeder, just something to keep his hay off the ground long enough for him to eat most of it. I also wanted something more durable than those cheaper plastic-ish ones at the feed store (you know the ones). If this sounds like your situation, then this is the hay net for you!Like I said, it is not a slow feeder (the openings are 7 inch x 7 inch). It is also fairly large. I give my horse between 2 and 4 large flakes per feeding, which fits easily. It's not super loose, but I could get more in if I wanted to.While the bag portion of the net is 42 inches long, it shortens up when you put the hay in, so it doesn't hang down too low. When I read the length I was worried my horse might get his feet in it, but that has not been the case. I have the bag tied to a hook about 6.5 feet off the ground (as high as I can easily reach for tying), and it hangs down to a good nose level for munching. And back to the durability... This hay net seems amazingly well made for the price ($16.99 when I bought it). While I am skeptical about it being all cotton, it feels so much better than the plastic rope stuff used for many hay nets. The cord is thicker, more flexible, and really feels like it will hold up well over time. After almost 2 weeks of 'round the clock use, it still looks almost new.So if you need something to keep your horse's hay off the ground, and without paying an arm and a leg, this is the perfect hay net!

I ordered one hay net just to see if I liked it and how well the net would hold up to daily use. It held up perfectly so after about 2 months I ordered another. Nice large hay nets hold about 3/4 of a small bale. The nets really open up wide for loading with a nice long rope that makes it easy to tie it up (I just wrap the rope around a board 3 times and secure the end over a bent nail--so easy and stays right in place). This is not a slow-feed net but I don't want a slow feed in the winter months; it still does the job of reducing waste. I would definitely order more of these if I had the need for more!

There was a delay in receiving them as they were on back order, aside from that, these have turned out to be great freders for our horses and goats, it really reduces the amount of waisted hey, and with two horses eating from one hanging net at the same time, they have held up really well. Great buy!
