The basket came packed extremely well - box within a box - within a box. That being said, the basket had a good size ding in the side. This is a solid weighty metal basket and some of the welds are not perfect, but they are acceptable. I liked the twisted handle which is very attractive. The basket also comes with a large bag of fatwood and the basket itself holds a hefty amount. The basket is a dark gray (graphite) color and is pleasant. However, I plan to spray paint the basket a black wrought iron color so that it coordinates with my fireplace tools and log storage, as well as my fireplace insert.

There are a few pieces that are just turpentine soaked or sprayed pine. I thought it would save me the trouble of walking in the woods, gathering fatwood myself. But thanks for setting me straight. I'll keep the handy little basket next to my fireplace. But I'll be filling it from the woods instead of throwing money at y'all anymore.

We like to use Fatwood to help start our fires in one of our homes, and this is a great looking handy container that holds an adequate amount for a lot of fires. I also stick the long lighter in there as well. This looks so much better on the hearth than using that big fatwood box!

It looks great with any fireplace, wood stove or insert. Just a great design and manufacture. I love it and I've given it as a gift several times. It comes loaded with fatwood, and believe me, everyone should be using fatwood. It makes starting a fire easy as pie.

Looks great, sturdy, well made. I've been using it for a while now and it still looks good. No rust, no corrosion. The perfect size to sit near our fireplace hearth. The bucket itself is about 5 1/4 inches tall (about 10 1/2 inches if you leave the handle upright) and about 6 1/2 inches wide, and comes packed with flatwood. Makes starting a fire so much easier. Fast shipping. Good purchase.
