I wasnโt sure buying parts on Amazon was a good idea when my Pit Boss pellet grill died. Surprised to find out itโs a perfect fit, because it has never worked so well. Install wasnโt bad,I initially grumbled about the lack of instruction, no wiring schematic translated from Mandarin to English was a good thing, as they are always confusing. Very simple plug and play swapping it out, no shortcuts,I just prepared to disassemble more than I needed to. All said, I am extremely impressed with how well it functions.Regulating temp is definitely more accurate now, Iโll say it again,it now works better than it did new. I canโt speak for the additional meat probe as I havenโt put it to the test. Well worth the $40

I have the original 820. Biggest complaint was the only way to get smoke flavor was 1-2 on smoke prior to cook. Bought this โupgradeโ excited to get the meat prob. The fan now cycles but the augur continues. Tons and tons of smoke! At 225 it emptied the hopper in

First time using the replacement control board. Set it on Smoke (180 fahrenheit) and picture says it all. It continued to go up, so I just turned it off. Attempted again this Am, same thing. Just more junk and monies giving to the trash can! My fault for not testing the product before the return date. Zero stars!

This thing nothing works correctly, I put the temp sensor it came with on with everything else. It turns on, but runs away. No control, turned it off and the screen is off but the auger still runs.

All parts used in my Pit Boss 820 D. The control board is an upgrade as it has a meat probe temp. sensor inlet. Comes with removable plus in temp senson that offers a digital readout of meat temp on the control board. Also comes with a temp sensor and fire bod heat rod. All parts have worked well for several smokes. Temps have been accurate thus far and has been a great upgrade overall. Also comes with small fuse replacement for control board if needed. Watch online videos on how to properly replace parts.
