Went together easily. Looks just like the photos in the ad. I checked the accuracy against another rain gauge that I have used for years. This one read .2 less than the old gauge. One was in the front and one was in the back, so maybe. The most likely culprit for the difference is that the 2 prongs that hold it in the ground aren't sufficient size or number (needs 3) to keep it vertical so it leans slightly. The ad says freeze proof, but the box says bring it in at 14° or lower. The box also says attractive design but it's extremely phallic looking to me. It is bright orange and highly visible but you can't read it from any distance.

I think this is a great rain gauge. I was immediately surprised at the high quality of it overall. I love that it has large numbers for easy reading and there is a red foam floating disc in it that makes seeing the rain water level show easily. I got it for when I need to water in fertilizer for my lawn. Or I may just leave it out in the lawn since it can be quickly moved when mowing. One minor negative is that because of the bulk/weight of the gauge itself, using it mounted at the max height of 33 inches causes it to be wobbly on windy days. I'll just mount it on the lowest section that goes into the ground.

I love this rain gauge, even with old eyes, I can read it from inside the house when it is pouring down rain. It was very easy to assemble and install and I now when when to head for the ark.

Super bright traffic cone orange color silicone case surrounding a glass water catcher with huge print numbers. If you are getting like me and it’s hard to see the little print on most things these days then this is the perfect water gauge for you. It has a float in it that appears to be made of some type of foam,in the back of the glass is a black line so when you do have water in it, the float is very visible.It came very well packaged. The pole is a screw together type three-piece black metal. It went together very quick and easy. For the price this is worth the money.This was shipped within two days.
