There is no doubt that this item will work well for some people. Unfortunately it wasn't wide enough for my screen. For my door it probably needed to be about another 1/2 size larger. I bought the rollers and was able to put my old spline back in until I can get a thicker spline. My screen door is quite old and may be the reason for the difference in size.

Nice snug fit for what I believe are the most common sized screen frames. I don't understand the "too small" comments other then a buyer choosing the wrong size.
