After spending some time with the Viltrox 27mm f/1.2 for Nikon Z, I can confidently say this lens is an absolute powerhouse. Right out of the box, the build quality is impressive—solid construction, smooth focus ring, and a premium feel that rivals much more expensive lenses.I’ve been using it on both my Nikon Z9 and Z6, and compatibility has been seamless. Autofocus is fast and responsive, and the clarity this lens delivers is outstanding. The wide f/1.2 aperture allows for gorgeous subject isolation, buttery smooth bokeh, and excellent low-light performance. Whether shooting portraits, street photography, or environmental scenes, the image quality is consistently sharp with beautiful rendering. One minor hiccup I’ve noticed is that in continuous autofocus mode, tracking can occasionally drop. It’s happened just a couple of times over five days of use, and a simple camera restart fixes the issue. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but something to be aware of.Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with this lens. It’s a fantastic option for professionals, hobbyists, and anyone looking for a high-quality, fast-aperture prime at a reasonable price. Viltrox has truly delivered a winner here, and I’d highly recommend it to any Nikon Z shooter looking to expand their kit.

This is a very lightweight and compact wide angle lens. I still see a little barrel distortion in corrected images, but it isn't enough to worry about. Weighs about 1/3 of the Nikkor 20mm f/1.8. No, you can't drive nails with it, it's mostly plastic. It uses a 52mm filter vs 77mm on the Nikkor. Will I shoot architectural interiors with it? Probably not, although these shots handheld on a Nikon Z8 body are reasonable. It's reasonably sharp. Did it focus perfectly every time? Almost. My main use for this will be travel photos where I'm carrying all my gear in a backpack on my back. And, I was pleasantly surprised when the lens correction profile showed up in my Lightroom Classic.

This is definitely a lens where compromises had to be made to get the price down to where it is, but it is not a bad lens. On Nikon, it's really the only option in this price range and focal length. You do get some vignetting and some distortion, but these can be corrected to some degree in post with your lens profiles. Sharpens up more as you stop down, like many lenses do. Still, hard to beat for the price.

much quieter than my f to z adapted lenses. theres a bit of vignetting, but its not too bad. its easily corrected in camera raw or lightroom. colors render well. i like this focal length for most video applications unless i'm wanting a tight shot. it's not the sharpest lens, but still phenomenal at this budget.

Molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto.

E' costruito benissimo (direi meglio dell'80 Full frame). Corpo in metallo, così come il bellissimo paraluce. Sembra veramente solido.
