Our fireplace vent had a big rip in it so I used this to cover the vent and it worked very well. Only issue was that it was a little hard to bend for what I needed it for.

I used these to patch the spark screen on our firepit cover and they worked like a charm - licked by flames for over 2 hours and they did not warp or melt! The only fiddly thing was working with the unsoldered mesh to patch it on, since it's easy for the wires to slide out of place as you bend it. However I removed one row of wire from each side (leaving long ends sticking out like spikes), bent the ends over at 90 degrees with some flat nose pliers, and they stayed put long enough for me to place the sheet on top of the old screen, and bend the ends back onto themselves with needlenose pliers to grip tight. Worked great and is holding fast.

When you roast coffee, you get a lot of bits and pieces mixed in with your beans. I use this mesh to strain out those unwanted bits. The bits fall through but coffee beans don't.
