While it works fine the paint is already coming off. I sure hope this doesn't rust and die like it's predecessor. 2 weeks seems a little sad.

I used this off-label as a catch for a picket fence gate. I've found no flaws in it's design or construction so the springs haven't gotten twisted around the pin as some do. And important to me, no rust or corrosion in a salt air environment.
