Very happy with this! It's just the right amount of light while still warming the terrarium

It supposed to seem like moonlight and IT DOES. I like that I can see yo-yo the tortoise with all my lights off. But at the moment I have it in this refurbished lamp. I love the glow.

Have gotten a few of these, I use the 40w in winter and the 25w in the summer. 40w is quite a bit brighter and warmer, so if you are going for a true nighttime feel the 25 is probably the best option as long as you also have a heat mat. My leopard gecko basks in them occasionally when he's out from the rock cave so he seems to like the brightness level, and I can actually see him climbing around at night. Have gotten a few and none have come broken, great quality!

This bulb is just what we were looking for. It provides a good amount of heat (I keep it on the cool side) for my ball python to supplement her under-tank heating pad. I like that it gently lights the tank so I can see it at night. I put the bulb in a clip-on lamp and keep it on all the time. It’s been a couple months and no problems yet!

I bought this for my canary hen; the room she is in is colder in the winter. She's near the window, and though there are curtains, and inside plastic over the window, she still gets cold here in Maine. This is a lightbulb, that doesn't provide 'daylight' but does provide a very low dose of light and very low amount of heat. It's enough heat to keep my canary warm; I can tell on particularly cold days, that she sits under neath it (the bulb is in a 'clamp lamp' metal shade) for a bit and after a while will move away from it. The metal shade doesn't get hot, so it is safe to leave on overnight. (check yours anyway.)It's also used to keep cold blooded animals like lizards, reptiles, etc. Good job in making and packing it.
