This letter is extremely well built. The materials are sturdy and the sewing is strong. The hooks are very strong and large enough for just about any railing. It is easy to use and works well on our home built floating dock. Overall, a good value.

I got this for my power boat. Needed a ladder that extended lower than the one built into the stern. It's become too difficult for "people of a certain age" to hoist themselves up out of the water onto the stern platform. Given its length, I'm able to clip it up over the stern and down into the water deep enough for someone to first step onto the ladder, then climb up onto the stern deck, all the while gripping the ladder to help themselves up onto the deck.I especially like the large clips to hook around horn cleats, another line or the stanchions. I used to be a blue water sailor, and one of the ever present concerns was how I might hoist someone back on deck in the event of a MOB. While I would not clip this ladder to a stanchion on a permanent basis for everyday use (the galvanized hooks might tear into the the vinyl on the stanchion cable over time), I would not hestate to have it at the ready to assist someone onto the boat deck in the event of a MOB. And it stows away as a minimal package. Good quality product and well built.

it was always difficult to get back onto my 1966 13' boston whaler boat from deep water and the older I get it is getting more and more difficult so I was looking for a small rope type ladder to keep onboard but not take up a lot of room when I need a ladder. This was the perfect solution as it comes in a very small bag and does not take up a lot of room but I now have a ladder when I need it. The item is made well and is very sturdy. I was able to hang it on the back of the boat using two of the transom eyes that were already on the boat. This is a good value for the money, and is a great option for a ladder that does not take up much room or extra weight on the boat.

So I ordered this for my neighbor’s boat since we go fishing together and he fell overboard once & he’s over the age of 80 and I couldn’t get him out of the water. Now we can store this on the boat & if we need it we can just pull it out & attach it to the boat. It’s sturdier than it looks. The clips are sturdy metal & it comes with a vinyl storage bag.

I've struggled to find an adequate boarding ladder for my high-freeboard sailboat. We need to enter the water on occasion to perform maintenance and it's always a challenge to reboard the boat because the deck is high above the water surface. It's also good to know that this ladder is onboard the boat should someone fall overboard and needs to climb back onto the boat. We have tried several rigid ladders, but they are bulky to stow and extremely awkward to deploy, especially in an emergency. This ladder is constructed of good quality nylon webbing and has large corrosion resistant locking hooks. The round rungs float and are good diameter for grabbing with your hands and climbing with your feet.It rolls up easily and includes a draw-string storage bag for compact storage. Its almost 6-foot length is long enough for most people to stand on in the water.

My boat didn’t have a factory installed ladder so when I came across this I had to get one . It just clips on your transom and is ready for use . We don’t swim much from the boat but and at least now if we do we can get back in the boat without beaching it .. Well made ladder , this is a heavy duty ladder , looks like it will support big guys as well as the littles .. Great deal

I'd use this as an emergency ladder, but I can't think of a use case where this ladder would be too helpful regularly. The construction of this ladder is pretty robust - all except for the staple that is in each rung! If you're going to use this ladder on your boat for anything other than an emergency type use, I would pull those staples out. They don't really seem necessary, as the solid internal rung is captured on both ends. Maybe it helped them during the sewing process and they just never removed it? Anyway, after a few uses, especially in salt water, I can see that staple rusting and/or otherwise coming out, maybe halfway, and sticking in someone's foot. The hooks are quite huge, and not really something I'd clip onto my stainless rails. I'd hook these onto vinyl covered lifelines on the sailboat if it was an emergency, but these will quickly destroy the vinyl, and would immediately scratch polished stainless. I was considering using this ladder as a dinghy ladder for getting into small RIB's, but the giant galvanized hooks need to be removed and just a normal sized aluminum carabiner in place. The solid rungs are nice, but storage on a RIB is premium, so this might not be the best ladder for that case...
