Worked well with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. It has the option to use USB PD to charge my phone but it is not required for actual usage. This makes it a great tool for on the go use. The video quality seemed very good at 1080p. I don't have any cameras that output 4K over HDMI so I can't test for it. I could see using this with a phone as a cheap alternative to external video monitors for in the field photography and recording.

So far we have tried several differentHDMI connector cables that we know work, we have updated the camera drivers to the lastest version, and we have tried to use and trouble shoot both OBS and VLC programs as best we could. Nothing worked to get this video capture card to cooperate with our Nikon Coolpix 530. The computer recognized the camera, but it would only show a black screen and no video. So there was no video to for the card to capture. When hooked up directly to the computer and using those same cables and programs, it showed the live picture just fine. So the issue seems to be with this video capture card. I guess it is just not compatible for us. No matter what we did, it was always a black screen. We also tried it with one of our phones as well and got the same black screen result, but the phone was an older Samsung Note 5. So maybe our technology is too old to work with this card?It seems to be working for some reviewers, and giving the same black screen issue with others. So I am not sure if it's the capture card being faulty, or if it's our technology being older that is the issue.Either way just in case, if you have older technology you are trying to use, then this may not be the capture card for you. Unfortunately it wasn't the one for us.

I've tried multiple times, and used two different HDMI cords that I have tested in other ways so I know they work, but I can not get my camera to connect to my computer with this thing no matter what I do. When I look for the camera in an application like Microsoft Teams or Zoom, it shows up in the dropdown list as "USB camera", but there is no signal there ... just a black screen.I have a lot of experience with a name brand version of this device, and I used it quite a bit for work, so I was excited to find this less expensive model. Unfortunately, this one is now sitting here gathering dust.

This is an interesting product. I did not have much luck getting it to work with the free open source VLC but it worked very well with OBS capture software. The input is the HDMI plug which was surprising to me but I guess it makes sense considering that the Output of almost all mopdern PCs is HDMI. The other end goes to a USB-C plug that attaches to your device doing the capture. In my case it was a Dell PC running OBS software. I had to watch a YouTube Video to figure out how to set this thing up. My package did not come with any instructions but the YouTube tutorial did the trick. Video quality is as good as the original - I could not see a difference.

So I'm using this to capture an HDMI source that is coming from CVBS to HDMI 720/1080p upscaler that is coming from a VHS VCR SP NTSC 29.97 fps video source. Since this capture card is 30 fps, I expected some video artifacts, but I didn't see any. I don't know if the upscaler is automatically handling the frame rate conversion or if the capture card is doing it. Either way, the captures look fine.I wanted to run OBS in a VM, so that my capture projects' desktop can be kept isolated, and portable. This, however, doesn't work. Only the video comes through. I think this might be because the drivers for the capture card's audio stream doesn't play well with Hyper-V RemoteFX. For the time being I need to run OBS in the host. And that works fine. Maybe I'll try a VirtualBox VM later since it has better support for non-standard USB device redirection than Hyper-V has.

After my last Samsung tv died on me during a repair, I wondered if there was a way to play my Xbox on my 27 inch Imac. If so, I just wouldn't need to buy another tv.After watching a few Youtube videos, I first tried the free Greenlight App for Mac. It's an open source streaming program you download. Have your computer connected to the internet as well as your Xbox. Set your Xbox to streaming mode. Turn on your Xbox. Insert a disc. Turn on the Greenlight app on your computer. Sign into your Xbox account and now your streaming you game on the Imac. The issue is there's a tiny bit of a lag and the gameplay footage looks soft and bleached out. The short video movie scenes play fine though. And there's no audio settings you have to adjust. This was okay but I found something better. For no lag, a clearer picture and less drain on your internet connection for the rest of the house, I needed to use a free streaming program called OBS Studio for Mac with a Video Capture stick to connect the Xbox to the Imac going from HDMI to usb to usb c. AFter ordering 2 sticks I thought were capture cards, they ended up working to connect to usb c monitors only. Not computers. This Video Converter was my 3rd attempt and the correct one. The one that worked. It comes with a simple instruction manual that doesn't go into any program in detail. It also came with a short cord to connect to the Video Converter stick to the back of my Imac. I ran the OBS Studio program. Selected the USB option in the Video Converter menu and the Xbox image came on. The sound however is another issue. I have my Imac connected to 2 speakers via the Aux cable. I tried every setting on the OBS Studio program and still couldn't get sound. I finally found the Advanced Audio Properties settings under Edit, in Menu bar and selected the mic/Aux for MONITOR AND OUTPUT.. For the Xbox option I selected MONITOR OFF. None of the Youtube videos on this subject mentioned the audio part. Why do they always leave out the important details? So I finally played a bit of Red Dead Remdemption 2 on my Imac. There's hardly any lag. The footage looks clean especially on a 5k display. The audio is perfect on the external speakers. Just have to get used to the 27 inch display size. I was playing on a 40 inch tv before. Overal this product is great. Now I don't have to buy a tv. This Capture stick actually saved me from spending another $250 on another tv. This capture stick was listed a few dollars lower than all the other sellers. Awesome product. Great value for the price listed.
