This NCVT is THE best there is. It’s 90-1000v so you don’t have it going off constantly when there is not voltage. It is very durable and battery lasts a long time

So far so good, works every time I need it, only downfall is that other than the light there's no sound indicator that comes in handy when working out in the sun when it is hard to see the light indicator, so sound would help

Very simple and straight forward voltage tester. The button to test that it works and the batteries are not dead is a huge plus. I love that it is always on too so you don't have to bother with turning it on before use. The batteries have lasted a pretty long time too. Definitely would buy again.

Fluke is the only brand voltage detector I will trust my life and equipment with. I'm an electrician, ranging from industrial, to residential renovations, ditches to towers and everything in between.This always-on version is superior in every way. I have blown out several pairs of $30+ cutters over the years using the old version you have to turn on, as it's possible over thousands of hours to make the mistake of turning the unit off (thinking you're turning it on), or having it time out and turn off.The only thing to be aware with any voltage tester is they can and do give false "voltage present" when dealing with conductors that are next to each other and inducing faint "ghost voltage".Great product, anybody in any trade should have one, as well as most home owners

Wanted something that is more reliable than just easy to use, this one is both! I have read reviews of some other brands that they have lots of false signals, this one is set so is not too sensitive and in most cases unless it actually is in contact with the wire (or plug, etc.) it does not signal the presence of power. This is what I wanted, more accurate than quick and easy but more false alarms. Of course, having said that, keep in mind these types of testers are just for preliminary check and you should use other tools such as plug-in tester or multimeter to confirm, specially if a DIYer.

This works so much better then the Klein ones I’ve bought it doesn’t have a on off it is just always on and lights up when near voltage...and it’s got a easy test button to make sure it’s working before you test too

Awesome Hot or Not tool by Fluke. It is compact and easy to carry with you anywhere. Also very concealable. It’s also quiet. Doesn’t make the loud beeping noises like a lot of other testers. It has a battery test button which is awesome so you can check it before you use it. The no beeping noise is awesome if you are doing electrical work where people work and or conducting business. You will not have to have people looking or wondering about all the noise. It’s a quality product and worth every penny.

I’ve used this tester (a few replacements for lost and broken testers but always this one) for a decade. I’m an IBEW electrician I mostly do commercial construction and TI (tenant improvement) so I need something accurate and foolproof. While I always recommend you hire a professional this is a good tool to use to verify if there is voltage present. This DOES NOT replace a digital meter by any means it’s a first step to verifying absence of voltage.
