How to Maintain
Step 1:
- Wipe pliers clean after use.

- Apply a layer of anti-rust oil.

- Seal it in a bag.
Step 4:
- Storage it in a dry place to prevent the pliers from rusting.

These are a five star .. Product was in perfect condition. Cuts 14 gauge wire with zero effort. Made 20 test cuts with zero wear. Nickel plating looks perfect. Yes over time the plating will no doubt wear and expose areas you need to keep protected with proper lubricants. Don't listen to others that left them sitting in salt water for a Month than Saif how rusty they got... can't beat the quality vs price.

i use these nippers at work and there the best nippers ive ever purchased in this size use them for zip ties mostly cutting right to the base and cutting wires and cleaning up printed parts my coworkers keep destorying them by trying to use them as a nail puller and cutting staples -_- i just grind them down on the bench grinder but them can only be ground down so many times im hiding this pair in my tool box

Arrived quickly so great in that category. The tool itself was ordered because it was small - I needed a smaller tool, not a big bulky one. That said. I don't know why this item was ever a "go" for production. It's wimpy and poorly put together/ made? The "spring" action which is SO important to work with this kind of tool, is non-existent. Very disappointed. Nice seller, junk product.

I had a pair of these that I bought in a bargain bin at an auto store years ago, a little different color, bronze/black instead of red/black. But they ended up being my nail clippers more then anything. They also came in handy for trimming tags off clothes and cutting small wires and the like and they mostly kept the same sharp edge the whole time I had them. But then one day I just couldn't find them any more, they disappeared. Now my wife always complained when I cut my nails with them because they shot the trimmings all over the place and sure once in awhile a stray would fly by her head or land in her lap. I'll admit she got hit a couple times. But she always said one was going to get her right in the eyeball, it never happened. I just liked the way they felt in my hand and I could always control them just the way I needed and if I'm real honest there wasn't much to clean up after since everything shot off all over the place.Anyways, when the cutters disappeared I figured they fell behind something or ended up in a drawer somewhere never to be found again. My sweet wife, even though she hated when I used them, claims she did her best to help me find them but they never showed up again. Oh well, so I got a real nice set of black steal, medical grade sharp, angle head plier handle "nippers" that looked beautiful actually. They were too sharp, if you made a little miscalculation on how far back to trim they go right though when you squeeze and quite honestly I became afraid to use them. Thought I was going to cut a toe off.So back to amazon, this time I just wanted my old cutters back and with a little creative searching, I found the exact same ones and here we are. Nails flying all over, wife complaining and covering her face, but they get the job done. 5 stars because these are the same ones and they are pretty sharp and last a long time when used for nail clippers.
