I used this on a sump system for sewage in my home. The title says it, it worked when I installed but 1.5 years later not when I needed it. Sewage ran over and the alarm never went off. I pulled the sensor from the system and couldn't get it to turn on. Alarm still goes if you hit the test button though. Currently finding another system to use.

The unit has a tie wrap type strap that allows you to attach the float to the suction or discharge pipe and it has a built-in battery back-up on the electronic unit. I did need to charge mine before the battery would work. All the same, it was quite easy.Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the strap that secures the float to the pipe, only works on vertical pipes. I have an in-tank pump where the pipe comes out of the top of the pump and goes horizontal, so i had to build my own contraption to anchor it from a horizontal pipe and still enable the float to work properly.Manufacturer, please consider going that extra step to provide a way to anchor the float to a horizontal pipe.Whomever made the ratings above, please revise the categories. "Suction Power" and "Warmth" are not at all applicable to a water level monitor.

Used as an overflow alarm for the storage tank on my reverse osmosis system. Drilled a 3/8” hole in the top of the tank and threaded the sensor through. Tested the alarm by working the float and it works well. The alarm is similar to that on your smoke detector. Same pitch and volume.

Instructions were easy to understand. Was able to install the unit in less than 15 minutes. When tested it worked. I suggest wearing earplugs when testing it since the alarm is very loud (which is a good thing obviously). It is just really loud when head is next to unit lol.

The unit came before the expected date - well done Amazon and Canada Post! The unit seemed smaller than what I envisioned when it came. All the parts for installation were in the box. The instructions for installation however are not clear. I always like a picture or two to help me see what the product engineers are trying to convey. Instructions aren't the best for first time DIY'ers! Once I began installing however, it was relatively easy for figure out what they were saying. Only one complaint though... According to the instructions, where I am to place the sensor is just above the water line of the existing pump. I have a deeper sump well and its was difficult for me to get those tie wraps around the existing flow pipe and secured well.I performed the rest of the hook ups as instructed, plugged the unit in and tested the siren the unit first. Then I tested the unit with the float sensor in the well; both made the siren go off. The siren is loud but not ear piercing! For the money, I would rate this an excellent purchase. One soft criticism; I would like the product engineers to rethink the instruction page for the DIY'er and not a fellow engineer.

Installed easy and worked right away. Got this to have some piece of mind that if the sump pump fails to run, I will get a warning before it starts to over fill the tank. All manual test worked with no issues and the alarm was loud enough to hear through out the house.

Great product! I first thought the first one unit I bought was defective. I discovered on the second one that the alarm does not work the same way while running on batteries. In battery mode, there is a delay before the alarm siren makes a sound. That means, you have to maintain the "test" button a few seconds before the siren is working. This is most probably an energy saving mode.Note that the product is not as white as you would think. There is some tones of blue in the white color, at least, in the two units I got. This is an excellent product. I would recommand over other alarm systems sold on Amazon.

Easy to install and tested well. Suction power was not included because it did not apply. The lift float worked as intended when water raised it though.

Without this alarm, our sewage ejector tank contents would rise to a dangerous level whenever the pump switch failed, which happened about every 3 years or so. The last time it failed, fluid rose to the water heater drain and started to flood that room. Fortunately I had placed a water sensor alarm next to the floor drain and heard the alarm in time to turn off the water main, but that really is a 'last ditch' solution. With this alarm installed, the siren activates when the fluid level rises 4" above the normal range for the ejector pump, which is about 10" below the flood level. Think of it as an 'early warning' indicator. The siren is loud enough that it can be easily heard, especially in the shower of the bathroom which drains into the tank. Setup was easy. I'm not sure how long the rechargeable backup batteries will last, but I don't expect that to be a major issue since everyone here is trained not to use the downstairs bathroom in the event of a power failure, since the ejector pump requires AC power. Still, it is nice to have the battery backup for the alarm in case someone is unaware of the risks. If the backup batteries are lithium, hopefully they will last 5+ years and be replaceable after the warranty has long expired.
